If you are a Professional Service Provider and you are looking for a step-by-step walkthrough on how to register a client using Ownr please follow each section below:

  • Name Search Search for available names for your client’s new corporation

  • Account Information is your information for your user account with Ownr

  • Corporate Information is your client’s information, which will be in their incorporation documents.

  • Directors and Officers - ALWAYS select “With Others” and “Owners and Managers”. This will allow you to change the individuals holding positions in the company.

  • Directors - Ownr defaults the Account Holder (yourself) as the first Director in the company being created. Please click on your name and Remove yourself. Then “Add New Director” to add in your client.

  • Officers - You may see your name populated here as well, please Remove yourself, and click “+ Add President” to add the client.

  • Shares & Share Classes - Once again, Remove yourself, then click “+ Add Shareholder” to add in the client.

  • Choose a Plan & Pay - You must unselect the RBC Discount. Your client is eligible for a $300 reward if they open a bank account with RBC after their company is incorporated. Unfortunately, this reward cannot be claimed by partners.

  • Final Review - At the end of the Final Review you will sign your name as the Incorporator and Submit the prepared Articles of Incorporation to the registry for approval.

Please note that you have the option to invite your client into the platform as the Incorporator, so that they can sign and submit their Articles of Incorporation themselves. Find more information here.
