The ability to cancel your registration or subscription depends on what stage your registration is in.
Cancelling before submission
You can cancel your sole proprietorship registration or incorporation at any time before you have submitted the application in Ownr.
Contact our support team by using the chat button or via email at [email protected] if you have not submitted and would like to request a cancellation.
Once you have clicked Submit at the end of the application your request is sent directly to the government to be processed and cannot be cancelled at that point.
Cancelling after submission
Sole proprietorships
Canceling your Ownr account does not close your sole proprietorship registration with the government.
Contact your provincial government directly to close your sole proprietorship.
Once your sole proprietorship registration is complete your account can be canceled, but you will lose access to the free Ownr Dashboard, which houses important company information and registration documents.
Please note that sole proprietors that register with Ownr are subject to a one-time fee only, and are not on a subscription plan.
Corporations
Once your incorporation is completed you may cancel your subscription at any time before it renews. Your cancellation will become effective at the end of your current annual billing period. When canceling your annual Ownr subscription, all future charges associated with renewals of your subscription will be canceled.
If you’ve already canceled, you can check how many days are left in your current billing period under Settings > Subscription on your Ownr Dashboard.
Ownr does not offer refunds for renewal payments after 14 days of the renewal charge.
There will be no credit or refund offered for the remaining portion of the subscription period.
