Ownr helps to register your sole proprietorship with the Provincial Government. Unfortunately Ownr does not have any way to update the information on your Business Registration document once it's been issued.

You can amend the information on your registration through your Provincial government.

Please note: The government does not allow business name changes for sole proprietorships, if you wish to change your business name, you will need to register a new sole proprietorship.

Ontario

Submit your request to Service Ontario by logging in to your online account. The login information is provided in the document named Company Key, which can be found on your Dashboard. If you do not have this document, follow the link on the page to create a new account.

Alberta

Submit your request through a registry agent.

British Columbia

Submit your request by filing an amendment with the BC government here.

Quebec

You can access your registration at any time directly on the official website of the Registraire des entreprises Québec using your NEQ and clicSÉQUR.
