You can complete your Sole Proprietorship registration or Incorporation in Ownr, even if you already have an approved Name Request from the BC Registry. Finishing the process in Ownr gives you access to Ownr’s plan features and services. Learn more about what’s included in Ownr’s Sole Proprietorship and Incorporation packages.

When you enter your company name in Ownr, be sure to enter the name that was approved on your Name Request. You’ll likely get an “exact match” message, as shown below.

Click “Next” and follow the prompts until you get to BC Name Request Page. Then click “Use Existing Name Request”.

Click “Choose a File” to upload your Name Request. Then enter the email you used to obtain the Name Request (this email may be different than the email you used to create your Ownr account).

Click “Next” and follow the prompts to complete the Final Review. Then sign and submit the application.

Please note, you will be unable to upload a Name Request if it is expired, it it's the wrong type of Name Request (i.e. you are attempting to upload a sole proprietorship name request for an incorporation), or if the email address does not match the one used to generate the Name Request.
