When and how does my business insurance policy renew?
Your business insurance renews automatically every year, unless we receive a cancellation request from youor the insurance company, all of Ownr Insurance contracts are under a 1-year term.
For example, if you policy’s effective date is February 1st, 2026, your renewal date will be on February 1st, 2027
We will notify you 60 days prior to your renewal date by email and your policy renewal documents will also be available under your Ownr Dashboard for review.
When is my insurance renewal payment charged?
Full annual payment is charged 1 day prior to your policy renewal effective date.
We will be charging the premium using the payment card on file, please review Updating my payment method with Ownr Insurance for more information.
How do I prepare for business insurance renewal?
Update payment information
Make sure your payment information is up-to-date by logging into your Ownr Dashboard and going to Account > Settings > Edit Billing on your Ownr Insurance subscription.
Review mailing and operating addresses
Review and update mailing and operating locations if they are different to your insurance policy renewal document.
Update any business operations changes
If your business changes industries or offers new products and services, please update your policy to make sure there is coverage.
Calculate revenue
If your business has had significant growth last year, updating your insurance is important to ensure your coverage is still appropriate.
