Provide prompt notice of loss to the insurance company
It is required to provide notice of loss to the insurance company in writing as soon as possible, so that the insurance company can conduct appropriate investigations and reduce the severity of the loss.
Fraud
If you fraudulently present a claim (or any portion of it), the claim is invalidated entirely.
Salvage
Following a loss or damage, you are required to reasonably protect the property or situation from further damage and prevent damage to other neighbouring properties.
Entry, Control, Abandonment
The insurance company has the immediate right to enter the business’s premises to investigate damage in order to evaluate severity and cause, as well as to allow access prior to undertaking repairs.
You must not abandon the damaged property to the insurance company without written consent.
Replacement or repairs
The decision to repair or replace damaged property lies exclusively with the insurance company
