If you have decided to no longer manage your company with Ownr, there is important protocol you should follow to ensure you have the necessary documents and records to keep your company compliant.
Overview
Ownr operates as an annual subscription service. Your plan covers basic legal compliance items that all corporations must adhere to including:
Company Minute Book
Annual Shareholders Resolution
Annual Directors Resolution
Annual Waiver of Auditor Resolution
In addition, Ownr customers get:
24/7 access to cloud storage
Before you get started
Record all business information and save your documents before cancelling your subscription and closing your Ownr account.
Cancelling your account will remove access to the Ownr Dashboard, the Minute Book and the ability to complete the Annual Legal Return through Ownr, along with the accompanying mandatory corporate resolutions.
Find alternative methods to manage required legal compliance items such as filing your Annual Returns and updating your Minute Book after you off-board from Ownr.
Save your corporate information
Make sure to find a new place to store all important corporate information and documents after closing your Ownr account.
1. On the sidebar, click Company Info > Organization to record your corporate information.
2. Click Organization > Minute Book to download all of your Minute Book documents. Click the download icon to download each document.
3. Click the Documents tab to save additional documents that you have created through Ownr or have uploaded to Ownr.
4. Select Shares > Cap table. Click the Export Cap Table button to download your Cap Table.
Your registry of shares will be downloaded in spreadsheet format.
Note that any future changes will no longer be automatically recorded on Ownr after you cancel.
Cancel your Ownr subscription
1. On the sidebar, click Account > Settings > Subscription. Click the Edit button.
2. The Change Subscription window will appear. Click the Cancel Plan button to cancel your subscription.
If you select Cancel, your subscription will remain active for the remainder of your subscription period, but will not be renewed on the expiration date. You will be unable to access your documents and cap table after your subscription has expired. You can reactivate your subscription at anytime by logging into Ownr and clicking the Reactivate tab.
3. After cancelling your subscription, you can locate how many days you have left of your subscription and the date of expiry on the Subscription page.
Refund request
If you would like to request a refund for an unused subscription, please log in to your Ownr Account and use our chat support function to send us a message requesting a cancellation.
